  Good reply. Not much to add, but I hope this story doesn't die out before the real facts come out. We all need to do our best to bring attention to it.

  Barbara did a wonderful job and her CD is a marvel. If you don't have one, it is well worth the money and it helps support the cause.

  it's too damn cold for my liking!

  all the people that have real winters will laugh, but mid 30's to lower 40's is despicably cold by oregon standards .

  to make things that much better, the furnace in the house where i live died on monday.

  hi guys,.

  i was raised as a jw and was baptised when i was 16. i am now 35 and have finally realised that "the truth" is actually the opposite.. my family has a long history of mental illness and i am "lucky" to only suffer deppression and panic attacks.i believe what i was taught as truth has effected me adversely.

  e.g " you won't have to go to school son, armageddon will be here before then.

  Sounds like you have had a lot of experience with the dark side of jws. Shunning your own flesh and blood is evil and smoking cigarettes has nothing to do with spiritism. It's not the best for your health, but neither is obesity and that never stopped a jw from overeating.

  my dad was looking and the official watchtower website and he said it has such a truthfull and genine look about it and how i should'nt read the forums because people's opinions on there are misguided and they dont know what their talking about.

  Their reply was so like them. It sucks! I hope the real numbers and info gets out there like the 23,000 pedophiles on their list and their cruel two witness rule. Those that were dfd for going to the authorities need to speak out too.

  Sure hope the press picks up this story and runs with it!

  a producer with nbc in new york called within the past hour to tell me that the segment i interviewed for (once in nashville, tn in august and once in washington, dc in october) is set to air tonight on nbc nightly news with brian williams, that is, if no huge calamity takes place to bump the feature.

  this piece will be two minutes and 45 seconds long, the longest slot nightly news has for topics of interest, and will feature a discussion about the court documents that are found on the cd i recently produced, "secrets of pedophilia in an american religion, jehovah's witnesses in crisis.

  in addition, nbc's internet site, msn, will follow with a detailed story.

  What a shock! I just watched the news and didn't know it was going to be on there. It was very well done. The WBTS looked like it was running by not making someone available to comment in person. The only thing not brought out was the two witness rule, but I am sure more coverage will follow.

  Thanks goes to Barbara for standing up for the victims rather than looking the other way, like the WBTS.

  this is so bad people, why are we sitting on our arses and doing nothing about things like this.

  this young man gave his life, he will probably never have a wife and family for the rest of his life and this is how they are treated ?

  this administration should be ashamed of themselves and i mean down right on their knees ashamed.

  I saw the program on CNN. It was so sad. The man with his face blown off got married to his fiance when he returned, but they are getting a divorce now. He's got to be totally messed up psychologically. And yet he was fighting for benefits.

  Another man was told he didn't have PTSD, but rather an anxiety syndrome that was not service related so they wouldn't have to pay benefits. Same man was also told that schrapnel? throughout his body was not service related. He had his arm blown off from a IUD and had traumatic brain syndrome, but still had to fight for benefits.

  It is disgusting. I agree that the one who starts the war should have to lead the fight. Then maybe they would see it in a different light.

  Do you have children, Martin? Make sure you protect them if you do. I remember at one district convention, a little girl was molested. They brought her to first aid where I was working. I thought they should have made an announcement to warn all parents what had happened so they would be extra careful with their children.

  Nope. They hushed it up quickly, no warning or concern for other children.
